These are working notes rather than travel writing. Each one exists because the same question kept arriving in enquiries and the answer was long enough to write down once: which way a beach faces, when a viewpoint is still empty, what to wear so the photos survive the humidity.

Several of them save a wasted morning. Thailand has two monsoons, not one: the Andaman coast — Phuket, Krabi, Khao Lak — is wettest from May to October, while Koh Samui and Koh Phangan get their heaviest rain from October to December. Knowing which side of the country you are on decides whether a sunset shoot is a plan or a gamble.

Others are about rules that are easy to break by accident: covered shoulders inside temple grounds, no posing on Buddha images, and drones that need registration and stay out of national parks without a permit. A photographer who knows them keeps you out of trouble.

If your question is not answered here, ask it directly — the answer usually becomes the next guide.
