A flying dress photoshoot in Thailand is a 30-minute session on a beach or cliff in a long flowing dress caught by the sea wind, from $169, including the dress rental in your size and colour, an assistant to throw and arrange it, and 20 edited photos within 48–72 hours.
The assistant throwing the dress does most of the work, so a calm evening still produces the shots. Strong wind is the bigger risk: on the Andaman coast from May to October gusts can wrap the fabric around you, so the photographer picks a sheltered spot — and in a storm the shoot is rescheduled. Phuket’s west-coast headlands, the cliffs around Krabi and the beaches of Samui are the usual settings.
Shoot at sunrise or sunset: the fabric glows against low sun, while midday light makes it look flat. Choose the colour beforehand against the backdrop — red and coral stand out on turquoise water, white and blush suit sunset. Hair and make-up (+$89) and drone shots (+$119), where flying is permitted, show the full length of the train.

What if there is no wind?
The assistant throws the dress — that is most of what makes the photographs — so a calm evening still works. Strong wind is the bigger risk: on the Andaman coast between May and October we choose a sheltered spot, and in a storm we reschedule for free.
